Perth Lightning and Storm Pictures

This is another selection of lightning pictures which I managed to capture in Perth Australia. Whilst driving back home at midnight from an evening out at Burswood Casino I was pleasantly surprised to see a small but active storm over Perth's southern suburbs and decided to give chase. The storm was very slow moving, allowing me to quickly catch it, find a good vantage point and photograph lightning as it slowly drifted south of me over Kwinana.

I debated long and hard about including these images in my website. The lightning is great, but I really wish those power lines weren't there. This storm arrived quite suddenly at 3am, leaving me no time to search for a betterl vantage point for lightning photography. I've decided to include these images here as man made structures such as power lines should not detract from what is a spectacular show put on by mother nature.
