South West Lightning Picture Gallery

The lightning picture feast near Margaret River ended as the storms there began to weaken, hence we decided to drive to the coast as another line of storms looked to be approaching from the west. We drove to Red Gate Beach and found ourselves in a perfect position to photograph lighting produced by the advancing storm. The storm died just before reaching the coast, allowing us to head back to Perth. We left Red Gate Beach at three in the morning and made it back to Perth just after six. After an hour's sleep I actually made it to work that day! Although tired I was happy to have captured the lightning pictures below.
