I always want to take a deep breath and suck in the air when a good storm approaches .....your pictures gave me the same feeling.
Love the pics and a great site. Do you know of any Australian sites where you can get maps of where lightening has struck? What sort of camera do you use, length of exposure etc?
We enjoyed your site and thought some of your photo's looked like alien aircraft about to land, extraordinary!! Some of your photo's of storms looked really angry, very authentic. Will be coming back to check soon, Cheers Maggie and Steve South Australia

Great pics of lightning.
Amazing, breathtaking. Nice job. You captured it!!
Wonderful photographs, its like a real tunder strom in front of the monitor screen. Thank you for this.
This is a second message to you. My name is Richard Holt, I am interested in obtaning one of your pictures (not sure which one) for some artwork to be included on my motorcycle. I would like to take the picture (maybe you could pick your favorite) and make it into a 'holographic image' (so the viewer gets the full 3D effect) and apply it to several spots on my cycle. My paint theme on the cycle is 'lightining'. My question is how much for a scanned or file image of one of your EXCELLENT photos? Thank you, Richard
Wow!!!!!!!
i liked this site it was good to look at nice pictures

THIS IS GREAT PLEASE KEEP ON THE GOOD AND WONDERFUL WORK.
Hi Mate - well done on a good site with some great pics. Curioius as to your method - put it on 'B' and hold it open - I suspect but then how did you get the daytime shots? Surely not a fluke? If so then, like me, it might reluctantly be time to go digital and buy a Nikon D70 or such - then you will save a heap on film as you can just delete each time you do NOT get that bolt in frame - but I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you that. I am a pro and use filmm 99% of the time but in a 6x17cm panoramic camera. You may like to look at my site at givenworks.com - feel free to put it in your links if you like. Meantime, keep snappin. Regards Mal

Dear Mister I am looking for good ideas for advertising in connection with lightning protection. ( it means thunderstorm) I am licend electrician in Germany. I am located in Potsdm It is enclosed to the German capitel Berlin. I am looking forward for informatin from you. Please don``t hesitate to contact me, if yoiu need more information about me or my small company.
Hi impressive pictures! I love it. I might use some images for backgrounds or weather-examples on my future website.... As I am also in Web-business, a few tips to imporve your page: 1) Dark-blue in links and in navigation is too dark. use a different color, if you really need to have so many colors 2) Avoid scrolling of pages by choosing s a smaller font (13 for text and 15 for headlines is really okay) 3) You get confused of what is a link (as normal text is formatted blue). Avoid it by either a different color (mentioned) or giving each link a prefix-symbol to indicate it's a link. Keep it up! Carsten
Love the photography. Would welcome the opportunity to have some of these shots on our sites. Joy Dalgleish (below) - if you are moving to Busselton you might like to take a look at - http://www.busseltonononline.com.au
Hello! I found out your website a bit by "accident"... and I really enjoy it! For the first time, there's a beautiful website about lighting and storms! Congratulations! Paulo
Nice website. I took some good lightning shots at the end of the wet up here in Darwin, but I'm now hanging out for the coming wet to try out my T90 and FD lenses. I hope this wet season is better than the last one. Did you get any photos of the tornadic action last month in Fremantle. It got on the news so I just figured I'd see some photos of that storm in your site. Seeya.
I think the site is great, would like tips on equipment used. and prices for prints Thanks Glen
I'm a beginning ESL teacher starting a picture file. I try to collect good examples of weather. Would it be possible to get a copy of your photo of lightning?
Remarkable!
I love your website I had a child interested in water spouts and what they looked like and he was thrilled by all your photos. We also enjoed all your lightning photos and would love to put your website on our family website as the site of the month so I can share it with my friends and family. Thanks for having it on the web.

Those were the most awesome photos I've seen. Thanks so much. I have never seen such candid shots of electrical storms.
WOW !!! What else can one say. Keep doing it !!!
I am a West Aussie living in the USA. For some strange reason I began a search on Perth weather. Just because I wanted to see some pics of home. I found your site, and it is brilliant. I have bookmarked it. I love your photo's. You have done an exceptional job. Congratulations. But you did make me a little home sick :(
good site, thank you!
Great photos, let my class look at your webpage to see what great thunderstorm sights look like. Have you considered taking different types of weather patterns/ cloud types and market it to different educational groups as a resource to use when studying weather patterns in science? I'm envious of your photography skills and time!!! Wish I could get out more and have such exhilarating experiences and produce such wonderful memories.
Thanks for sharing your passion for the power and magesty of an "electric sky" I really enjoyed it and can only offer one suggestion.....MORE!!!Thanks!

You should submit some of those photos to webshots. There arent nearly enough. Also i reckon most of these are better than those nature magazines. Fantastic. I'm glad I cant save them or I would use all my computer memory. (just kidding-I really wish i could save them all).
Fantastic images. I can only aspire to taking such photos! I've taken many pictures of the night sky, http://www.heathcote.f9.co.uk but haven't managed to get a bolt of lightening yet.

Your photos are great. I love lightning photos. Do you have a price list or variety of sizes available for purchase?
great photos...go on with it!!!!
I also love the stored up and then unleashed energy of a good lightning storm. As a matter of fact as I write, there is a storm raging right outside my window, The whole bit, lightning and all. I lived in Kalgoorlie for 10 yaers then moved to Perth for a year or so. In that time I did see some beautiful storms. I am a commercial pilot and was working for a small commuter airline and charter company. Early morning skies at high altitude, of approaching storms were something for the eyes to feast on. . This website, I found using a search engine. Now book marked. I am glad I did, because I think it is well put together and your photography is outstanding. That video clip of the lightning strike just outside Northam, I think that is just a marvellous clip. Played it over and over. . I've always said, if I had the money, and was allowed, I would build my house on top of Mount Bogong (VIC) where I now live, with a plexiglass observation dome for a roof, just for storm watching. . Thank you, I enjoy your photography.
Dear Radek, Congratulations on your capturing the majesty and magnificence of Nature's finest show. Here in England we are seldom treated to such splendour although I do remember one four-hour monster here in London. I have never seen such Lightning since. It may interest you that I can recall lightning then that stretched across the sky and seemed to burst into individual "rockets". It was late August and we had had an extremely hot summer. best of luck and keep up the good work
These photos are amazing as a member of the State Emergency Service of NSW I still appreciate the beauty of lightning storms.
Being into storm/lighting photography i find this site insperational and helpful in my own quest to become better at what i do,thank you
Thankyou for sharing your amazing photos. I found your site very captivating.
Very impressed keep up the chasing...
Great web page Rads:)
We are keen to head to Darwin to watch some storms and some sunrises and sunsets. From your experience, what is the best time of year for these things? We love your photography and have bookmarked your site!
I really liked your site, I enjoyed my visit, we have a website too at BSP Gallery Bookshop old and rare books. We have BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA on many subjects, including literature, performing arts, first editions, Pacificana, sport, cricket, music, antiques, military, shipping, aviation history, art, craft, Australian, old postcards. http://www.bspgallery.com.au
Very impressive site! Love that Wall Cloud on the Gold Coast. Have added you to my links page on my site.
Nice resource! Thanks, Ann http://wwww.sarmsoft.com
I live in Darwin and I think your photos of the storms taken over Darwin are without a doubt the best I have ever seen. We have taken many hundreds of "storm photos" in our 36yrs years of living in Darwin but they certainly don't rival yours. WE are about to retire to Busselton in the South West of WA so no doubt we will see a different type of storm activity.
Thanks for this good guestbook! Regards, Mark http://www.winresume.com
Absolulutel amazing!I love it and I would like to see more as I study lightning and let me tell you there is more to lightning than meets the eye?

Hi, I like your site, please keep it going, Good Luck! <h1 style='font-size:1pt; LINE-HEIGHT:1pt; margin:0px; padding:0px;'><br/><A HREF='http://country.fastlook.net'><b>thunder country travel</b/> </A><br/></h1>
Hello, I'm a Perth resident, and having just aquired a decent digital camera, I am looking to forward to taking some storm photos. I love electrical storms, having grown up in Darwin they are a spectacular sight, as you know. Anyway, I was wondering if you have any particular locations that you go to photograph storms here in Perth? Or do you just position yourself along the storm's path? Any advice would be appreciated. Daniel.
All I can say is "Breath Taking"!
Hi Radek I am a fellow chaser, though I have only been doing it for year. I am located in Sydney, and we have been spoilt this last year with storms, so I haven't actually had to do much chasing. I was very impressed with your site. Your knowledge of the way storms move and what causes them is informative. The shots themselves are impressive. I must admit I have been frustrated in getting information about storm patterns and predictions. Any information I can get is much apprehiated. Again, well done on the site. Ben
I sat and watched a series of thunderstorms roll over sydney the other day, and it lead me on an all night net crawl on the subject. Your photos are some of the most amazing I've ever seen and I think the site is great. The only improvement I can think of would be to have full screen enlargements, and perhaps a slide show. At some stage in the near future, I would love to purchase some poster size prints , if possible. Hope to see more work in the future. I'll be coming back to this site. Cheers.
Ausome photos Radek!
Mate, your pics just blew me away, absolutely spectacular.Even though I now live in Cairns I have had the privelege of going through a wet season in Darwin, which is where I really got into watching storms, particularly the light shows of the top end. I Am very interested in pics you have for sale. Hail the new Peter Jarver.
Hello Radek, would you consider exchanging links with me my url is http://www.picturesquebydesign.com if you are interested please send me your url and a short description about your site for the links page, the lightening photographs are really great, hope to hear from you soon. Regards Beryl Turner Picturesque By Design http://www.picturesquebydesign.com
Love your photos!Do you have any from around the Southern Highlands NSW Aust? I would love to see some. Also can you turn any of your photos into animated screen savers? That would be great! Dane
Hi, my name is Jaimee Wilson and i just have to say these photos are just absolutely fantastic. I have never seen such photos as the ones displayed on this site and I'm a photo printer. I'm also a photographer in training. Would you please be able to give me any tips and handy hints to becoming an outstanding photographer like yourself. Thank you and well done on the photos and the website. Keep up with your good work. Jaimee Wilson
Hi Radek...great website. Those pictures are fantastic! I like to chase thunderstorms when the rare opportunity arises. I live in the San Joaquin Valley of California and we don't get much in the way of thunderstorms. It's very dry here. If we do, it will be from either the monsoons that pass over New Mexico & Arizona in the late summer, or from cold, unstable air that is deposited by a cold front in winter. I also like to take photos of lightning and the sort with my trusty old Pentax K1000. The summer thunderstorms are terrific for picture-taking because they're so high up in the atmosphere and you can see them for miles. The winter ones are too low and fast-moving to get any decent photos from them. But, they are fun to sit under. I often take my son with me whenever there is a severe thunderstorm about. We'll find a spot to park and just sit under it and listen to the deafening hail fall on our car. Anyway, I think Australia is a very beautiful country. I hope to get the chance to live & work there some day. Well, take care & thank you for your time. -Craig

Hi, 3.35am here in Germany and just searched the web for pages with pictures of lightning strikes just like yours. Awesome work with nice stories to read, just wants oneself to chase some of those storms too. i'm looking forward to see some more of your pictures, although you might have winter now down under :/ maybe its getting better at end of year again :) greetz
Found your photos whilst searching for Kellerberrin. We live on a farm south of Kellerberrin and remember the storm you photgraphed in March 2004. We thought it was most spectacular, but you were out there photographing it whilst we were peering through the loungeroom windows! It was even more impressive in your photos.
Hay, I think we met in Whyalla just up from Mt Laura... I was with Diz, if you remember??? Just wanted to know Have you taken any good shots in Whyalla? Anyway , keep up the good work!!! Your pics are GR8
Your photos are really good and I love the setting you took them in. Im trying to get my page geocities.com/lightning19_86/ to get some visitors so maybe you can be my first. I dont have a scanner so I cant put my better photos on it but email me and tell me what you think anyhow.

Your pictures are stunning. I have been searching the internet for photos just like yours. Jason San Diego, CA USA
Great shots!! After seeing your pictures I think, it will be a long way for me to be a good photographer. But in Germany we do not have such lightnings, so my pictures can't compete. Greetings from Augsburg/Bavaria/Germany
I love your site! you are really brave to get all those photoes. i like the video of the nearby lightning bolt. i am only 12 and i love your site. i think you could improve it by adding activities to your site. do you upload your site? im going to tell all my mates about it. is it loud to listen to?
Wow, great shots! Just beginning at the same thing at http://www.markwyman.com but I don't live ina good area for it, though I have a great vantage point for when they do occur. Anyhow, enjoyed the site! I haven't yet seen what equipment and settings you use, but still looking.
ITHINK YOUR PHOTOS ARE EXELENT
Watching a storm just now in Scotland. Sorry I dont have equipment to photograph. Love your site. Many lightning strikes at the moment which is unusual for this area in Scotland. May be because of the unusually high temp for this time of year. Will bookmark your page for future reference.
I loved this site! Found it by accident but the photo's are awesome! Thank you so much for sharing them.
Great site and very interesting photos , make for very refreshing wall paper. Keep it up

Hello there. I'm just a curious college student who can't sleep. I stumbled upon your website due to a newfound curiosity in photography. I have always enjoyed nature and appreciate photos that do their best of captivating its essensce. Never have I been more spellbound by pictures than by those you have taken. I am looking into making my curiosity into a hobby, but the right equipment is expensive, as I'm sure you know from expereince. Maybe someday I'll have a collection that can compare with yours, but if not, I'll still be satisfied. Thanks for giving me something to admire, as well as aspire too. Ok, well have a pleasant day. BETH :)

Great site. Good job and keep up the good work.
Some beautiful images of Mother-Nature's fury. Have recommended it to friends. Well done. Tony
cool pictures! I remember one time in SE Iowa, around 2000, when I stood on my front porch & a humungus strike of lightning not only exploded in a big bang.....but also, wherever that bolt was, I could not see it, but...........I actually felt the heat! That's something I've NEVER experienced! That might have been a little "too close for comfort".
Nice web site and photos. Would be even better if you had more moview clips on there!
hell, this is a motherf***ing cool side!!respect!!
beautiful stuff Radek: Love your work.
Great page!!!! Keep it up.
Great side with great pictures! which camera is been used?
HI there. I'm a journalist for ABC Radio. I did a story with a NSW storm chaser last yr when I worked for Triple J. I want to know if you could help me - I'm trying to find out if there are any chasers up north where the cyclone is. Do you know? I want to call them to do an interview! Hope you can help me. LOVE the pics on the site. Justine
I absolutely love your photos. I have never seen so many beautiful pictures. I would just like to tell you you do a very good job and i've enjoyed looking at your work. Thank you.

Look forward to your reply Rhys http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?userid=5744 http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?photographersearch=Rhys%20Dudley
Great page and fantastic pictures! Greets from the snowy Switzerland. Laufentaler.
What a fantastic site. I'm from Ohio in the United States, so we too see some fantastic storms brewing. But I've never seen such spiritual photos. I love some of the cloud formations you've captured. I'll visit regularly! Thanks for sharing!

Realy nice pictures - I love them. Thanks
I am from Germany, too and also read about this site in the magazine c't. You have great pictures here, but: Most of them (if you don't click Wallpaper) would be even better, if they would have a higher resolution, so I can choose which one to use as a wallpaper. Thank you for this site and keep up the good work! Frank PS: Sorry if my english is not so good... :-)
Iam a 20 year old man from Germany i have reed about your Homepage in a German Informatic Magazin called c´t Iam a great Fan from Australia and I love to see Lightning Pictures [great Fan too.. ;o)] Your Site is very great Compliments too you go on you cant make anything better !!Sorry for my bad Englisch
wonderful pictures! but the presentation could be a lot more adequate :) greetings.skyphab www.skyphab.com
Breath-ta-king! Many artists (and hobby-photographers as well ;-) dream to produce pictures like you did. Some things that I would like to find in addition to what you allready did: 1. Some notes about your photograpy-equipment and tricks 2. Some lines about the artist himself 3. Some more wallpapers It's just a wish, but it would make a great thing even better! Yours Arne
absolutly uplifting. you have inspired a beginer photographer. thank you for this great experiance. i will be back very often to see more of your work
Wow! Incredible and wonderful pictures! Respect! Greetings from East Germany ;-)
Fantastic pictures! Fantastic site! Greetings from Markgräflerland, South West Germany.
Grandios pictures. Gratulation!!! greetings alev
Hi, Wow, what a fantastic page! Really impressing photos, some lightnings are absolutely breathtaking! I's a pitty that the images are so small so that they are not good for a nice desktop wallpaper. Maybe this is a point for improvement of your fascinating page... ;) Greetings from Germany, Tobias Weigel
Excellent pictures!!!!!! Great colors! i love it!
Really great pictures. Thanks a lot !
Great pictures, hope to see it by myself when i visit your country. what`s about outback pictures ?
What a marvellous collection of pictures !!! I've never seen so beautiful lightning and cloud formations ! Like you I do also see the beauty of lightning strikes but couldn't catch one on film so far. Here in Bavaria we seldom have thunderstorms (app. 3 times a year) so opportunity is rare. May I ask you something ? How do you photograph the lightning strikes ? Which values do you use for exposure ? It would be nice if you can give me an idea ! Looking forward to your answer, Best regards, Rainer
Since i can remember i was always fascinated by storm and lightning. This pictures are really great. I wish, one day may be, i could take my own pictures of storms and lightning and i could say :"Yeah, I was there and it was fantastic !" Just great ! Respect !
Awesome, exquisite, really cool lightning pics - hummz, how to improve, well, a millisecond sequence overlaid in an animation coupled with sound effects may have that grab you effect. My site is not nearly so graphic - See: http://intech4us.com for house rentals and energy saving techniques. Oil will be exhausted and soon - by 2010 demand crosses supply and price goes dramatically up for gasoline. By 2037, gasoline analgams will be coal derived and fuel may be cultivated in the ocean or solar derived - hey Austrailia, you got a lot of sun!!!
Checking the name Phyland on the net and found your web page, thought I would have a look.
I own a company called Lightning Down Under P/L and have been in the Lightning Protection Industry for 15 years. We are involved in research and protection from direct and indirect effects of lightning. I wish to congratulate you in the magnificient photos you have taken over the years and look forward to viewing your future photos. keep up the good work.

Hello! The Photos are very great. I really like photos from storms. I've also made some, look at my website: http://www.pauschpage.com/galerie My problem is: I live in Austria, and there are less storms than in Australia. Sometimes there is a storm at night. Whats your camera? I photograph only with Nikon Cams. Visit My website http://www.pauschpage.com Greets Christian
Very, very great Pictures!!!! Greatings from Germany
Hi Radek, Great Photos, very impressive :-) But it would be nice, if you could make available some of them for desktop background. (1024x768 or 1280x960) Greetings Matthias

Fantastic... So beautiful. Thank you for this Art. Latux
Those pictures are mighty impressive. How about picking some in wallpaper size? Regards, Pete
I've read about your website in germans greatest computermagazine called "c't". Your pictures looks fantastic. How can I see the pictures fullscreen? My husband has tried to make pictures like yours, but we're not so professional in using our camera( canon Power Shot S 45). Maybe you could give me a hint how to take pictures that look roughly like yours. Keep it up! I hope to see further Pictures in the future. Tschüß Magdalena
can you tell something about camera settings and exposure times...

excellent!
I liked your photos very much. They are really impressive. Did you colorize them after taking the photos? Probably it wouldn't be bad to have an overview page (small thumbnails) for all pictures (of each category or even a complete overview). That's the way I sort and search my photos. I think I will come back time after time to your homepage to view new photos!!! Good luck and don't get too close...
I am very taken by your photographs. In a word, Breath-taking.
your photos are phantastic. I like them very much.

Unbelievable photos. I can't get enough of mother nature. She really is our world. I heard some say recently. Don't judge the weather as good or bad but simply what clothes you need to wear for that day. There is no bad weather only THE weather Well done.
What some picturers. Can this be dome using a digital camera? Or do you just use a 35mm with on open shutter. I am visiting australia next month, Sydney and Perth then travelling the south west area. Bussleton area. Can I expect lightening like this then. I I do I may try to picture it, and send you the resaults. They won't be anything like yours. Phil.

My compliments on your site, simply awesome. I love the SE Queensland images. Regards, Phil Nature Photography by Phil McDermott www.philmcdermott.co.uk
I'm extremely into photography and take pictures myself, however, I'm curious as to how you manage to capture these striking moments with a camera. I admire the sky and wish I had the privilege of going around photographing it, but I stick to nature to ease my aching. I LOVE your site and hope to see some more photos of the glamorous skies!!!
you have great photographs. I especially love the ones in Darwin. You should make a scroll bar for the side links. It was hard to get to the guestbook section. I had to highlight to scroll down. Maybe you want to put a lock on the webpage so people don't steal your photographs. It's annoying to the viewers, but I would like it better that way. :]
Absolutely loved your photos of shelf cloud over Surfers Paradise. Really stunning.
i'd just like to say that i think ur pix are awesome & keep up the good work. but always remember to have fun.
A wonderful site. May the glory of God's creation shown in your photos lead you to the glory of Islam. Thank you.

i am a photography major at santa monica college in california. i found your photos to be awe inspiring and unbeleivabe. i chose your work to do a gallery report on for my current photo class. i think it is safe to say that your work is as close as one can get to taking a photo of god himself. keep up the excellent work. kat
Outstanding pictures, well organized and presented in a very appealing way. Looking forward to more of your great lightning. I added a link to your site on mine. http://skyflashes.com

Hi there, just wanted to say that I like your pictures very much. They are excepional and I hope you keep on taking them. I live in the North of Germany and we hardly have thunderstorms and they are not that exciting although I am alwasy fascinated. Take care! Kristin www.pixelpicnic.de
Your lighting pictures remind me not to take we see forgranted. 4 stars . You have inspired me. Good Job Bobster
Hi I have to say... your site is the best one with lightning and storm photography I could find on the web. So go on doing this!!! It would be an honor to view more pics of that. And hey, visit Germany, we have some good lightings, too. ;) Best wishes, hunter
I've just finished looking at your site and your photos are so good. I've only just started photography and have only done lighting once I don't have the film developed yet but I'm hoping for the best.
Great site. I have always wanted to capture the perfect Lightning photo. Keep up the good work. http://www.lakemicro.com/photo/

Hallo, your site is a very fantastic projekt. It´s super. best regard Rolf
Hi, your site is very spectular and shows the power of nature. many hanks for having a look of it.
Having seen many of your captured lightning strikes with my own eyes, I am truely happy that you have transformed a brief moment in nature so brilliantly. Though the burnt lightning channels in my retina gave me short memories, your photos a have made the memories so much more vivid. Thank you for record keeping and may there be many more.
Hi. I just came across your website. Beautiful pictures. Anyway, I think that some lightning photos from Oregon that I snagged last summer may be worthy of linking to from your links page at http://www.electricskies.com.au/ I'd be happy to add a reciprocal link back to your site if you think that would be useful. My photos are at http://www.theragens.com/photos/landscape_photos.htm Thanks! Matt Ragen
I was thinking you should have a page with all Aus photo's on one page
hi this is a really cool site. keep it up - pages like that make the internet interesting. ingo
great pictures!!!!!
mate... nice pics :D best i have seen all morning and i have been lookin for around 2 hours Good work :D look forward to seeing some more :)
Hello, I found your Homeoage by a link on http://www.drweb.de/surftipps/aktuell.shtml I'm german and my opinion is. Your photos are spectacular! Never saw better 'Electric Skies'! My suggestion for your site is that you should add a chapter 'Technics and tricks'. Another Fotoseries could be 'Me at work';) I'll come back and tell your link friends etc. Keep on 'lighting', greetings from Germany, Leon
One of the most fantastic sites devoted tot Severe Weather in Australia. If I may do you a suggestion: it would be marvelleous if you could add more video-clips and/or sounds of Thunderclaps. But your photo's are very beautifull, especially because they are very artistic. Between November 21st and November 30st I'll take part on a chase with Thunderbolt Tours and I hope to experience many events like what is shown on your photo's.
sir i am really deligthed, i just don't find words to describe your exellence
